Orrick partners, Alex Chachkes and Nick Setty, will host Christof Karl and Johannes Lang of leading European IP firm, Bardehle Pagenberg, for a one-hour program on the new European Unified Patent Court (UPC) system and the anticipated effects on global IP strategy. The program will include:

  • The current state of global patent disputes: the status quo ante of global and cross-border patent litigation and the relative importance of U.S. and certain key foreign jurisdictions.
  • The new playing field: The significant impact the proposed UPC system will have in providing “one stop” shopping for European enforcement and thus reshaping the global IP landscape.
  • Answers to questions on your mind: An interactive Q&A session with our featured panelists.
