Orrick’s New York IP Breakfast Briefing: Update on Brewing IP Litigation

Event Details

Orrick’s IP Group is launching a quarterly breakfast seminar series in New York to provide a forum for professionals in the IP community to learn about and discuss the latest developments in IP law.  We hope you will join us for our first meeting, which will focus on:

  • Pending federal legislation designed to curb abusive tactics by patent trolls (by Alex Chachkes, co-head of Orrick’s patent group)
  • Efforts by state attorneys general to protect businesses and consumers from patent trolls (by Rob McKenna, co-head of Orrick’s Public Policy Group, former Attorney General of the State of Washington from 2005-2013, president of the National Association of Attorneys General and co-founder of its IP Task Force)
  • Pending legislation that will strengthen federal protection for trade secrets (by Rob Isackson, Orrick IP Litigation partner, current member and former Vice Chair of the Intellectual Property Owner’s Trade Secrets Committee).

CLE credit will be available for attending attorneys. And of course breakfast will be provided.
