RARECAT Wines: RARECAT Wines was conceptualized by founder Sharon Harris who developed a passion for winemaking during a personal tour of Chateau Haut Brion, producer of one of the greatest wines in the world. The tour was led by the legendary Monsieur Delmas (Senior), who kindly let her taste the renowned 1982 vintage out of the barrel. That moment changed her life, and sealed her interest in wine and the Bordeaux region itself. Years later, armed with remarkable Bordeaux experience and a degree in winemaking, she returned to California and currently resides in Napa Valley.

ABOUT ORRICK’S SUCCESSFUL WOMEN IN IP SERIES: We bring together women who are engaged in intellectual property, a cutting-edge area of law that has become a driving force of global business. As women, we face unique challenges in this ever-changing field. At the same time, we also possess many of the skills necessary to command successful careers in this growing area of importance to business. Orrick’s networking and educational events focused on Successful Women in IP provide a forum to discuss issues specific to an IP legal practice and within legal departments. One of our goals is to identify ways in which we can continue to expand our presence in IP law, while simultaneously striving to achieve both our personal and professional goals.
