Robert Moyle is a partner in Orrick’s New York office. Rob’s practice focuses on securitization, public offerings and private placements, as well as other types of asset financings and sales.

Rob has experience with a wide variety of asset classes, including credit and charge card receivables, auto loans and leases, dealer floorplan receivables, consumer and small business loans, student loans, tender option bonds and residential mortgages. He represents a variety of market participants, including issuers, sponsors, underwriters, placement and remarketing agents, lenders, borrowers and liquidity providers. Rob also advises clients on the application of securities laws and other financial industry regulations, including Regulation AB II and the rules and regulations promulgated under the Dodd-Frank Act.

Rob joined Orrick in 2005. He serves as Hiring Partner in the New York Office and is a member of the firm’s Professional Development Committee.

CFTC Solicits Public Comment on Swaps-Related Rulemakings in Response to U.S. District Court Order

On March 10, the CFTC issued a request for comment in response to an order issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in the matter Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, et al. v. United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission remanding eight swaps-related rulemakings to the CFTC to address what the court held to be inadequacies in the CFTC’s explanation of its consideration of costs and benefits in those rulemakings, in particular in connection with cross-border activities.  Comments must be received on or before May 11, 2015.  ReleaseRequest for Comment.


 

Fed Announces Dates of Stress Test Releases

On February 12, the Fed announced that results from the latest supervisory stress tests conducted as part of Dodd-Frank will be released on March 5, and the related results from the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review, will be released on March 11.  Results for both exercises will be released at 4:30 p.m.  Release.
